I lead strategic design initiatives for Disney+ with the goal of deepening engagement between our global audiences and the stories they love. What sets Disney+ apart in the streaming landscape is our unparalleled brands, a legacy in family-trusted experiences, and unity with Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ within Disney Streaming.
I led a design workstream focused on making stronger connections between content within a specific brand universe (such as Marvel and Star Wars). I worked with our UX Researchers on a foundational study of users’ perceptions and affinity for the various brands in our service. I then used the findings to identify problem statements and define cohorts of users that faced inhibited engagement. After overseeing two Senior Designers in rounds of design iteration, I led cross-functional critiques with Product and UXR. I created project plans that provided individual designers areas of ownership for further validating our concepts and moving the workstream forward.
